Leschi

Named for the Nisqually chief, Leschi was once the lake end of the Yesler Way cable line, with ferries pushing off for Bellevue and an amusement park where Leschi Park's lawns now slope to the water. What remains is the good part: the marina, the madrona trees, and a small row of storefronts on Lakeside Ave facing the I-90 bridge.
