20th C. carved, gold leaf frame in the early 17th C. Italian Renaissance style

Available from Atelier Richard Boerth when we last checked. Sold from the shop’s own store; the price there is the one that counts.

This cassetta frame with extended corners has a cove and convex profile at the sight edge and a flat frieze with brushed pastiglia palmettes, tendrils and stylized leaves on a punched background. The top outer edge is a cove and quarter round above flat plain sides .
